Tangerine Tango ~ A Salvage One Wedding

by Carolyn

The first time I met with Abra and Peter in person was a gorgeous sunny afternoon, but I truly felt as if I already knew them both. With the perfectly selected color palette and a thriving shared pinterest board we quickly got to work creating all of the beautiful details for their big day this past fall at Salvage One. Our new friends Ryan and Sarah from Miller + Miller were kind enough to share the gorgeous images they captured of the true love these two have for each other, and the inspired details they so thoughtfully designed for their wedding day.

Abra carried what has become one of my all time favorite Hello Darling bouquets. As we were preparing all of the blooms everyone in the studio couldn’t help but ooh and ahh over the perfect little beauties that made up this gorgeous bouquet including the unseasonably huge orange and ivory ranunculus, ivory and orange dahlia stunners, tangerine celosia, amber cockscomb, and vendela roses. The lush garden blooms were surrounded by gold painted seeded eucalyptus and Israeli ruscus.

The petaly blooms were hand selected to coordinate with the gorgeous rosette detailing of her sassy, glam gown.

The fathers wore sweet little white ranunculus boutonnieres while Peter and his brother wore orange sweetheart rose and ranunculus boutonnieres, and all were accented by metallic painted foliage and gold cigar bands.

Abra’s sister carried a gorgeous bouquet of petaly pretties in shades of orange including ranunculus, roses, spray roses, and dahlias with coordinating coppery-golden painted foliage to pick up the metallic tones of her incredible full length gown.

The two said “I Do” amongst the eclectic furnishings at Salvage One in front of their closest friends and family.

We spy our friend Loreen amidst Abra’s gorge group of gal-pals!

You may have read about Loreen a time or two before here on our blog, but as a refresher she is the talented artiste behind Reenie Rose. She recently completed an absolutely breathtaking oil painting of Abra’s bouquet, which you can read about here. The side by side comparison is insane! I am always in awe of Loreen’s incredible creations!

As guests made their way upstairs they were welcomed by sweet little pavés of orange and tangerine spray roses in our golden mercury glass vases atop the coffee tables, and the happy couple took advantage of the gorgeous surroundings and unique furniture-turned-photo-props for a few intimate photos by Miller + Miller.

Abra and Peter chose to use Salvage One’s vintage dining table collections for their reception, so each table was a bit different from the next. We styled textural floral arrangements atop carved gold and silver mercury glass pillars using beautiful orange and ivory ranunculus, orange, yellow and ivory dahlias, white hydrangea, orange and red cockscomb and celosia, orange parrot tulips, orange seeded eucalyptus, and golden copper hand painted foliage, and a mélange of golden and silver mercury glass votives warmly lit the arrangements.

Abra selected a perfectly appointed tablescape replete with gold flatware, gold rimmed goblets, and gold edged plates.

For a final touch of gilded elegance their shimmering gold cake was dotted here and there by fluffy little white ranunculus.

To Peter and Abra, thank you both so much for letting Hello Darling be a part of your wedding day! I loved getting to know you both, and I wish you years and years and years of love, laughter, and dreams that play out exactly as you had imagined. xoxo
